Hello from France! (Firstly : forgive me for my bad english language and mystakes, french are not good into foreign languages )) )

I'm 30, a fantasy writer. I also make my own rp world and website. For this i need to make maps of world, countries, cities, dungeons etc.
I have just buy campaign cartographer 3, dundjinni, photoshop cs5 (sic. ^^). Before i used autorealm and some others freeware.

I'm looking for tutorials, symbols and sharing experience.
    For more, just ask

    Hello Meldryn,

Welcome to the most creative guild on the web. As a writer this is a perfect place to be. So many artists here generate lots of ideas just by mapping. I would suggest photoshop if you are going to buy software.

    Bonjour et bienvenue!!

If your budget won't support Photoshop, consider downloading GIMP (www.gimp.org) It's free and quite nearly as powerful, and there are many tutorials for both. Happy mapping!

Those maps are not too bad for ones to start with. The first shows something we call "river violations" (hmm err, how would you say that in french... riviere interdits ???). We see this a lot here. If you look at the post above me by Steel General he has a badge of 'River Police' as part of a group of the guild to pick up those river problems. There are some notes about how rivers flow and when they split or join up.
