    Default Ancient Antarctica?

Not sure if this has been posted before, but I found this site whilst searching for relief maps of Antarctica.

Some nice old style maps (though rather small), even if the 'history' is a laugh. The more I read of it, the more I think it has to be a joke.

Great maps, but the text is full of all sorts of crack-pottery. Some people absolutely and straight-facedly believe in this stuff.

I know. It's hard to believe some times.

Very interesting indeed, although the dodgy English makes it a difficult read.

On this link... http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/1997/antpanel/3enviro.htm it is summarized that "Antarctica is composed of two major, geologically distinct parts bridged by a vast ice sheet." We only know this from infrared satellite imagery. How would Phillip Bousher know this circa 1737? That's exactly what we see on his ice free map.
