    Post Maurizia

So I started playing Dungeons and Dragons six or so months ago , really got into so I decided to try my hand at being a DM. These are a few maps from my campaign world Maurizia. You can see the colored (but not finished) version that Terrain Monkey did for me. I penned it out and then he cleaned it up alot. Anyways here are a few maps to check out. Any tips/tricks would be appreciated , and any general thoughts on the layout , structure of the places. Thx.

Ditto here. Hand drawn at times is the the best.

Its like still being close to the metal. Sometimes the superbly finished maps distance you from the game - like feeling uncomfortable wearing a suite.

The thing about pen & pencil maps is that whilst some can wield extensive skill with a pen, it takes no skill whatsoever to just pick one up and start using it.

Thanks for the comments guys. Heres another hand drawn map. I did it in this style because in the campaign world Maurizia , there are no technical maps of this region , the PC's will have to purchase this map , and some of the locations are not all they seem to be. Working on coloring this one with photoshop , but at this stage its already drained 3 hours of my time. So enjoy. Darksnow:

    Woo-ha!

TBH, I, as a player would like it a lot if I were to get a map like that. And I'd - if the game permits - to just tramp everywhere to make some notes.

I really like the 3D one.
My players just asked me to draw them one from our game... I hope they're patient.

I can't wait for the color version. I think it would be good of you to use same tone for all the colors: maybe dark one as the pigmentation color of that time period that they get from the plants. Also it could be fun to put the background on an animal skin that the cartographer would have used to create this map.

In any case, continue the great job,
