Default April/May 2011 Lite Challenge Entry - Fort Bastion

Finally got some time and needed to redeem myself from the last couple challenges and poor time management. I present to you Fort Bastion.

High above the peaks of the Graywale Mountains sits Fort Bastion home to the Order of the Crescent Moon. Known to only a few is the charge they have in protecting the people from the undead hordes emanating from the Vale of the Cursed in which the fort and it's walls encapsulate. The Order is looking for a way to permanently close the rift to the Shadowfell located in the center of the valley and end the nightmare of it's influence.

Looks very promising (argh! the competition!), and the back story sounds like a good start for a D20 campaign.

Got all my texture and shadow work done pretty much. Just need to finish the furnishing decor and labeling.

Looks very nice G. I might try to tone down the harshness of the bottom image colors as they don't quite mesh with the rest but I don't know what else you have planned that may tie it all together.

Thanks Big A. Hopefully this ties things together more so now. Trying to force myself to make everything original for this map and stop to use of pre-made objects. Border, title, descriptive paragraph, custom compass, additional furnishing and color correcting where necessary left on the list to go. I found the mist effect too heavy and toned it down.
