I think you're right. Here is tonights update. Most of the labeling is done along with some embellishment. I added forests again (but in a more limited fashion this time). Now I need to figure out a border for this.

Thank you. It was your style that gave me the inspiration for this. Not much of an update. I added a border and a few more labels. I think I might be done with this unless something else pops into my head (or is deposited there by someone. ) I know in the grand scheme of things I don't really have much chance in the competition but that's ok. I learned some new techniques and got to take my creativity for a walk so it's a win for me regardless.
