Default Two ridges and a river (WIP)

A new project once again. It is far from finished, but I thought I might illustrate the process by showing you what I start with. So this is it: a sweet little map of a land in between two mountain ranges, divided by a large river.

So far I've come up with the basic height levels. Some higher mountains, a lot of hills and fertile plains in the area where the big river will be.

I'm pretty sure I won't stick to the Atlas style, but I find it quite useful for initial height structure. Any ideas or comments?

Looks good to me. I, too, start with a height map no matter what style I'm doing...habit I guess, helps me to visualize what sort of terrain I want to put in.
