    Very nice maps.

I think I would be tempted to get rid of your ocean patterning from the rivers but that is a small thing really. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

I do see one river violation. Paratorna has a lake with two outflowing rivers. Multiple outflows are only possible if artificially maintained, the lake is part of a delta, or as a temporary aberration (which will be erased in a short time even by human standards; there would not be time for towns to grow up along both).

    All I can say: awesome.
I'm wondering about the "big world map" you talked about.

    Very nice! Good job.

Once again, thanks for all the nice replies!

Ramah: I think I'll try to work away the ocean patterning from the rivers in the next version. Thanks for noticing that!
rdanhenry: Yeah, I agree... hmm. I thought it would be possible with that size of a lake, but then again - why would that make any difference?

This is an older version with more "natural" mountains and forest

You're quite right rdanhenry. This issue has been debated in other forums and since this is a fantasy world invented by myself, I 've simply decided that it's OK with two outflowing rivers. The world of which Trakorien is a part initially was conceived in the eighties and in the first versions the seas and lakes weren't always flat but had wide bulges, even mountains, probably due to some kind of magnetism below them. I specifically remember a magicians academy sticking up through a water mountain, rendering it inaccessible to non-flying beings. There were also very dangerous water valleys where ships could get trapped. in that world, double or triple outflows were natural and I've simply kept it.

That looks lovely. The colour palette is just to my tastes. The only thing I don't like about it is the rivers, which look too wide to me. Still, that's a small thing.

What's with the inset btw? Fog of war covering it?
