Default buildings along a vector path in photoshop?

I'm making a city map in photoshop, with a wee bit of help from illustrator. But i'm wondering -

I normally use paths in photoshop to add curved text. But has anyone experimented using paths along roadways and stroking them with buildings? Would the building be brush? I think it will work, but haven't had a chance to test - wondering if anyone uses this technique?

I did that in 2 different town tuts. The building brushes are in my sig.
