i'm thinking of it as a sort of cavernous nether world, past the endless stone walls at the edge of the world.

    Thanks guys.

Put in some hours today on the water elements.
The caverns are located at the northern most point of the world - the land below the great northern wall of the world is glacial and fractures off into the sea. The rivers you see running out of the caves do not carry water but a condensed energy known as Misya. It is present in very small percentages in all water supplies but is highly poisonous if undiluted.

Today I began on the caverns, adding offshoots and tunnels.

Went and added a few more extraneous cave complexes - carved by sentients and beasts alike. Also added a scratchy patina and toyed with the colors. Next to add markers to points of interest and labels.

Trying to decide how to handle labeling. Here are a few options im considering.

    1. Handwritten
    2. Telegraphem
    3. Remington Noisless
    4. Orator Std
    5. Dakota
    6. Book Antiqua

hmm. I kinda like the Telegraphem. Fits the style, easy to read. That's just me. =)

What do you call that background? To me it looks like a tinted glass plate over concrete... nice looking.
