    Link Various freeware texture packs

Here are a few links to some texture packs.
They are all made by a german web designer declaring them as freeware.
His website is http://www.ulf-theis.de if anyone is fluent in German it may be interesting.

I'll add a link to any of the five different packs sorted by type.
The first link is to the descritption page. (scroll down a bit) Here you can see the textures included as thumbnails.
The second link will leed directly to the download.

Hmmm I downloaded the organic textures (came as a zip file). When I wanted to extract them my computer security said that the site they had come from had been marked as 'potentially dangerous' . As far as I can see all the files are .jpgs...but as I don't know enough about viruses etc I'm going with my virus checker - I don't need the textures that badly although some of them are very nice.

Mhm... That's strange. I downloaded them again to check if there was something wrong. There was no such message. Then I scanned it with Norton360 (latest updates and definitions) - it said everythin was fine. In a free minute I could repack them for you and upload them, maype that'll help.

EDIT: I had to split the archives due to limitation. Try if this works without a warning
Just tell me, if you need any of the other textures (or complete packs)

Brilliant, thanks Moe. No more security warnings. Here is one I particularly liked which I ran though image synth as a 2048 seamless tiling texture....might make a good texture for scattered forest. If you don't have image synth and want any other textures seamlessly tiled just shoot me a PM.

    No problem!

That is a pretty big and nice lookin' texture you made there.
What is the full name of the program you used?

    Greets,

It's called Imagesynth. It's great at making seamlessly tiling textures out of irregular shapes (not very good with regular shapes where traditional methods (offset and clone) work better). It works either stand alone or as a plug-in to photoshop.

    Just Google the name.

Oh great - currently I use the pattern maker plug-in but it's not the ideal solution.
    I'll give it a try.

    Thank you!
