Thread: Scales of War: Rescure at Rivenroar

Default Scales of War: Rescure at Rivenroar

I just recently started up a face-to-face campaign with a group made up entirely of people who have never played before. I decided to go with a published adventure path rather than make something of my own, so that my focus can be on teaching them the game rather than on creating the story.

I know these maps have been done at least once before on this site, but I wanted to create my own. These are of Castle Rivenroar only (so far); wilderness encounters and the bar fight have yet to be made. They are all made from Torstan's Free Dungeon Tiles set, combined with some odds and ends found here and there.

I like the fact that you are putting the emphasis on the new players learning the game. Get them to enjoy it and you'll have a few more months of gaming nights to come. Rock on !!

As a Game Master getting ready to run a group through the Scales of War campaign, it was wonderful to see such great maps! Thanks for sharing them!

Those are nice, very clear for new players.

And thanks for pointing out Torstan's free stuff, great resource!
