    Wip March Entry: NYFRD dude.

Oh random dungeons, you so cwazy.

Having the layout predetermined yet still nonsensical suddenly reminded me of of playing Warhammer Quest, and how much I liked the detail they put into the big board pieces.

I'm shooting for a cramped stone battle-map style dungeon with dynamic lighting and shadows.

Work in progress as of 3/6 .. still painting the unlit floor tiles.

3/7 .. finished painting unlit floor tiles.
    3/13 .. spider room detail

Looking great, Adam. Very painterly--I like it!

Did you basically lay this out in PS with selection tools & fills, and now are painting over with grays and darks (etc.)?

Oooh! Great start... I like where you are going with this...

(Though I was trying to figure out what the New York Fire Department had to do with this months challenge....)

Thanks all, I'm eager to get back to it!

Yep Pyrandon, thats pretty much how it goes. Once the base is done, i go in and paint the areas of shadow and cracks, then move on to the grunge and highlights. Basically starting from the flat gray color you can see in the lower rooms, and then building up layers of shading.

Also, RobA.. I totally forgot the R in my post title. >< doh, haha!

    I thought the same thing!

Overwatch, I'd be very interested in seeing some WIP shots of a tile as you add each layer of detail.
