    Map Bessyn Peninsula

This is my first map; I mostly used the help of that one tutorial by RobA, but I felt quite proud of the result (though I know it might just be crap). It's part of the world of the series stories I'm working on. I'm a beginner in both mapping and serious writing, honestly.

Hi there I think you've got a good base terrain going, however I'd think about:

    a) maybe making the texts a bit less ... glowy? They stick out a bit too much, I think.
    b) tone down the forest highlights a wee bit?
    c) think about continental shelfs - the bits of shallow water that continue away from the coast - they're usually much longer (check out some RL maps for reference)

You're onto an interesting concept with the mountains, however. Maybe a bit more playing around with the actual folds and such, but I think it's a good concept.

What Lukc said.. In addition, you have several rivers that appear to start at one mountain ridge, and then go UP another mountain and back down to the ocean... In most "real" worlds, rivers don't run uphill....

I love the dark color scheme, though. Adds a lot of drama.
