    Default Hello!

Err, Hello I am Windth! I have always loved fantasy and creating my own worlds and stories. Also I have been crudely drawing my own maps whether in my free time just because or for D&D. I'm limited to hand drawing maps so I'd love to learn and improve using what I have available to me.

Glad to have ya here and enjoy your stay.

Welcome, windth. Do you plan to improve your pen & paper mapping, or do some digital mapping by hand, or explore more generated-digital styles? We'll enjoy seeing what you do, whichever of those is your intent.

New to this site also, and I'm right there with ya on hand drawing maps. I've been working on two different fantasy campaigns based in the D&D world for my wife and son, and for my son and his friends. I've made some nice models for
ships that don't count as maps per se, as well as many maps that I will soon post here with links to see pictures of the ships that sail in our fantasy worlds.

This is kinda a re-hello, lol. Computer went down around the time I join and made my first post but now I have a computer, a graphic tablet, and a scanner so yay! I want to improve my pen & paper maps but I ultimately want to branch to making them on the computer so I can use them in say d20pro for a online D&D game. I created my own world and I want to make good quality maps for that world. I have details after details in a word document but maps help with visual placement and distances between things in that world and further help other people who are looking at it see the same thing I am. Also have access to GIMP and Autodesk SketchBook for now. So yeah and thanks for welcomes.
