    Wip Crysalian Empire

I finished a book about the Byzantine Empire during my holidays and got inspiration for a new map.

First step was drawing a map by hand and scanning, then adding a parchment look.

I'd clean up some mountains under the Montes Externa (and maybe call them Montes Externae for the plural) ... and the name Transkandokia strikes me as a bit odd, since it literally means Land beyond Kandokia, but I get the feeling (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) that the adjective "Trans" was mostly used in relation to geographic barriers and boundaries, for example Gallia Transalpina vs. Gallia Cisalpina (Gaul beyond the Alps vs. Gaul before the Alps), Transylvania (Land beyond the forest), Transoxiana (Land beyond the Oxus river) ...

An option would just be Kandokia Superior - for Higher Kandokia ... they had a lot of those (Germania Inferior, Germania Superior). Or maybe Transpatriona? Just musing aloud.

Otherwise, it's looking nice and quite medieval.

Your're right about the 'trans' thing, Lukc, my mistake. Thanks.

A wonderful map in a great style. But I am not quite sure about the scale. Is this really meant to be that huge?

I wanted it huge, yes. But maybe I go for a smaller scale, perhaps it's really too large.

Isn't that nice? I'm reading Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and got a bit of inspiration for a piece of my map.

    Looking good so far!
