    Post Evening All

    First, Hello to you all.

Second, Gawd knows what made me think of fantasy map making as a pastime. I like art and drawing and love the maps you find at the start of fantasy books combining the 2 seems like a great thing to do.

Third, I already have a fantasy map, kind of. I did a CD compilation for some friends and made a composite map from a road atlas of all the places they live.

Its a mish mash of Devon, Northamptonshire, Aberdeen, London, Grimsby, Nottingham, Sheffield and Grimsby. Its kinda unusuall, not in anyway connected to the suff here, but I just thought I'd share it all the same.

Clever. What'd you use to build it?

The map was made in Photoshop, I scanned the pages, then placed them for 'best fit' and re drew the roads etc to make a workable map. igf you look, the blue grid lines are all over the show.

Ah, a mashup of real atlas maps. Cool. There's a Guild member who does that with satellite topo maps to get Really, Really realistic landforms - get a load of the results a2area got with a patient puzzle-fitting of terrain.
