    Default Greetings from Greeley

I'm a long time GIMPer looking to use my skills to draw the maps I need to illustrate my fantasy and science fiction novels.

Looking forward to playing along at home.

Welcome to the guild! I'm new too, found this place because I also want to make maps for my future novels. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

    Hi, nlowell.

Welcome to the Guild - if you know what sort of style you might need or want, see if there's not a tutorial here that might give you a boost.

    Preexisting novels, or embryonic ones?

I've got a series .. First book is out. Second book in first draft. Third book in planning.

I realized as I'm doing this second one that a key sea voyage of 20 odd days spans a distance of about 50 miles on the rough map I drew two years ago. I wanted better maps and thought this is the time.

I'll add my first try to the galleries.
