Thread: Well met, map-makers!

    Info Well met, map-makers!

My name is Geir, I am a sometimes artist, sometimes roleplaying geek. It's been a long while since I've made any maps, which were always hand-drawn. Since that time, I've learned how to swing a Photoshop Battle-axe, and would like to bring that to bear on the mapping front.

I am a mapping nerd in general - one of my all-time favorite books is "You Are Here" by Katharine Harmon. I cannot recommend it enough. http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Here-G.../dp/1568984308

I like the work I've seen on here, you guys seem just as dedicated to helping others get better as you are to improving your own mapmaking skills. Looking forward to doing both.

    Cheers,
    -Geir

hi Geir, welcome to the guild - yep, we're a pretty friendly crowd in here ... to improve your mapping skills check out the tutorial section and then make a W(ork) I(n) P(rogress) thread for help and critique while you work
