Default New and looking for slippy map help

    Greetings from Brooklyn, New york.

I stumbled upon this forum by complete accident, but I am glad that I did.

I am looking to make a map (using Openstreet or Osm) that I can embed in a website but has a layer over it that has drawings that I have made with Inkscape....Circles (indicating certain locations), paths (tracing along streets to show a route), etc. I want people to be able to zoom in and out....

Take a look at a png I have made as an example.

I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to do this--it can't be too hard (I hope).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Brooklyn_34,

You might take a look at TileMill. I haven't tried it myself but it looks like it can generate slippy maps with custom layers.
