    Wip Independence Spaceport

Working on a few key locations for an adventure by MJD for Avenger Enterprises.
It takes place at Independence Spaceport - a partly underground urban and heavy industry complex on a low gravity world with a very thin atmosphere (like Mars).

Just some rough ideas sketched to help work out the details ...

... a certain place (known for it's heat) will freeze over before I attempt to work with photographic images again.

I like the look of this. Are you going to keep theses maps in gray-scale or are you going to color them?

    Cheers,

I prefer greyscale, so these will stay greyscale.
The original images that I started with were compiled at 1 pixel = 1 foot.
Compiling them ino a multi kilometer image required steping down to greyscale and dropping the resolution.
Even so, I had to break the images into smaller pieces and then spend thirty hours of processing time stitching them together.
I would need better hardware to try this in color.

Nine million people is just too large of a city for learning to do this.
But thank you for the compliment.

Just for fun, here are a couple of the higher resolution building blocks that I made first:

One of the farm domes ...

And a piece of the warehouse district ...

For a sense of scale on all of the maps, the farm domes are about 1 kilometer in diameter.

Cool stuff. The detail you're adding is very nice. Have some rep!
