Wip WIP: Erinnal, World of Evindale

(Moderator: Can we move this thread to a WIP section?)

This is one of those "been working on this since 1979" worlds when it was nothing more than colored pencil on taped-together 8.5" x 11" pieces of hex paper. Now it's a full-fledged world and each country is getting the close-up treatment.

    Enjoy, critique always welcome.

And the original world over which Photoshop was applied:

I am a beginner, so I like what you have done. But these guys here are crazy good. No worries, it motivates me too.

The original looks like it took a long time to make. The new map has great use of color (as bogie said)and very nice style.

A close-up of lands to the north, the so-called "barbarian" lands of Sta'abri.

I love the lettering and the old-school hex map feel brings back tons of memories!

The smaller rivers don't look completely integrated into the map -- they kind of sit on top of the other land and water elements. Can you maybe give them an outline or something so they fit in a little better?

And you appear to have a couple of rivers that never drain out anywhere. Is that deliberate?

    Great stuff, though.
