Post Star Wars Miniatures map: Mustafar

I had been working on an off on this map for 8 months or something, while juggling full time schoolwork. I finished this map in May 2008.

Full size is 34x22" with a 1" grid. The bright outlines are terrain marking for the Star Wars Miniatures game.

Excellent map. Looks like lots of work.

One question, Where is the bathroom? :-)

Can't say I was too concerned with figuring that out. As far as I can tell, everybody who visited Mustafar pretty much died (Separatist leaders, slain by Anakin Skywalker) or left the planet (Obi Wan, Padme, burned Anakin) before that became an issue... maybe the Mustafar facility doesn't have any.

In total this map probably took around 35-40 hours; designing the floortile patterns took the largest chunk of that time.

Post A site member pet peeve...

Don't mind the seemingly silly question, just a little pet peeve among our members. Kind of like how we watch like a hawk for discrepancies in creating realistic rivers.

Many mappers whether designing castles, space stations or old west saloons, all seem to forget the existence of such ammenities as bathrooms/outhouses. In order to make maps more realistic, we look for what's missing and too often its the bathrooms!

Awesome map! I do like the floor tiling, so it seems worth the effort afterall.

    Have some REP!

PS: remember the bathrooms on your next map!

I asked, because bathrooms make excellent places to hide, change into stromtrooper uniforms or gain access to the ventilation system ducts from.

my question stems from my pet peeve of castle / dungeon maps without Food Preparation / Sleeping areas.

Great Job, I think its professional quality. This would make for a fun battle map.

    That's really amazing!

One complaint though, you forgot the room where Anakin kills Watt Tambor =p
