The alignment of the points is a bit off, northwest in particular. You might also want to consider putting a dot or other mark for southwest.

SW is where the map needs to have a monster drawn ... "In the name of all that is sane, don't head SW!"

Spiffy looking. I would change the west symbol, mostly because a square in that position matches the playstation controller buttons. I would probably see how it looked crimson rather than grey also. It just seems like it should be deep red to me.
