Default Aged and Worrn Paper Backrgrounds for LARGE sized map

I started on a long time goal of mine today. Mapping a large campaign I developed 30 years ago to a digital form.
The first thing I did was to create a parchment style background suitable for very large maps. I have put two versions of it here, one lighter than the other. Feel free to use for whatever purpose you may like, or critique them, as I am still learning this stuff.

EDIT 2: Changed post name to be more accurate.

Looks nice, but it looks much more like a coarse and somewhat aged pulp paper than parchment. Also, you should be careful about using the word "scale" in the context of maps, it has a very specific meaning. A "large map" and a "large scale map" are two very different things. You can think of scale as how "zoomed out" the map is: "small scale" means you are very zoomed out and things are drawn very small, "large scale" means things aren't as zoomed out and things are drawn larger than on a small scale map, though still generally smaller than in real life.

@ Hai-Etlik I forget where I am. I'm used to people making the mistake you accuse me of so I adapted my speech to them. I stand corrected.
You are quite right of course.

So, its for Small scale maps (120cm x 90cm if printed at at 80dpi which is where i set gimp at) So large SIZE maps then...

ANd your right. I didnt realize it but it does look more like pulp. Still works though.

Well, it could be for any scale really, it's just that the physical map itself is fairly large.
