    Map Nosgoth

Hi everyone, this is my first finished sumbission.
It is a map of Nosgoth, from the Legacy of Kain series. This was originally intended as an exercise, since I've never been able to draw a convincing map before stumbling upon this website, but I came to be sufficiently satisfied by the final result that I decided to post it nonetheless.

I used a reinterpretation of the techniques explained in Tear's and Pasis' tutorials (which I found to be great, both of them) to draw this map. I think that Tear has discovered a master method to add depth to the seas, while Pasis' mountains seem to pop out of the screen. In addition, I tried to add a personal touch, both with texture and color choices.
Though I know this map could still be improved, the exercise did what it was intended to, so I prefer to call it finished and experiment with something else: next step is calligraphic maps.
I hope you enjoy my efforts so far!

    Given the choice:
wheter to rule a corrupt and failing empire
or to challenge the Fates for another throw, a better throw against one's destiny...
what was a King to do?
But does anyone truly have a choice?
One can only match, move by move, the machinations of Fate.
And thus defy the tyrannous stars.

I like the finished product! That's a great compass rose.

    Thank you!
The compass rose is a reproduction of a great monument of crucial importance in the game world. Here is a screenshot.
I'm glad you liked it, though it's a little unusual as a compass rose!

Unusual roses are the best ones, and that's extremely fitting!

How funny, I never paid that much attention to the compass rose, I like it! Especially having an in world connection.

Well, truth be said, I wasn't too convinced in the first place. Now I am. Thanks! =)

You're welcome, but thanks for what?
And I can't understand the sentence in parentheses!
