Default New to forum, not so new to cartography

Hey there, feel free to call me Fall.

I'm a young lady who has been drawing maps since I could hold a writing utensil. From basic outlines to detailed maps colour-coded with biomes.

I really enjoyed geography in school. I remember one time in fourth grade the teacher set up some board-like tectonic plates so that when we pushed them together, "lava" would come up. Additionally, I love going on road trips - I enjoy watching the landscape gradually change.

I write (for fun). In some cases I create a fantasy world, which needs a map to avoid inconsistencies and because I just plain old love maps. Right now I'm working on a fairly large map, which will be the first one I will give serious attention to since I hope the story it accompanies will be published one day.

I've been reading the Quickstart Guide and a few of the tutorials already. It's all very interesting and helpful. I've already learned some new techniques, which is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for reading!
