Wip WIP - Deep Purple Worm - Revisited for the 1PDC

I'm revisiting my Deep Purple Worm dungeon (won the Lite contest in October 2011, I think) for the One Page Dungeon Contest 2012. I was racking my brain what to do ... and then I realized this would make a perfect dungeon with just a bit of polishing and spiffing ... and then I decided to do a colour version of the worm as well.

That is a great concept and a wonderful map. a lot of really nice details and I'm sure it was technically very challenging.

You definitively have a skill to draw maps, dungeons, etc... This looks surrealist, somehow reminds me of Escher's work which I love.

I've blocked in most of the rough colours and polished up about 1/3 of the existing linework. It's always a bit annoying working from scans, because I zoom in closer than I should and then start fiddling too much. Silly me.

That is pretty awesome. I think colouring it is a good idea because there are so many details on the line drawing they sort of get lost a bit, so the colour helps differentiate them. Also good luck with your entry! I submitted mine a few weeks ago too!

The color does make it a lot easier to see the details. Great map!
