    Wip Ehloia - comission wip

    Hi there,

This is a commision I´m working on and I´m deep into it. It´s a first time for me but I´m glad I got my feet wet, I feel this is a point I want to share it and gather some cc, customer is o.k. with it. It´s a rather big one, bigger than anticipated but one can only learn. So without further comment here it is.

Tree Thing was used for placing.. trees

P.s.: As it is a commision this map is not to be reused.

This is looking very good. Strange how there appears to be only a single town marked on the entire map, but since it's a commission piece that may be how the customer wants it. Anyway, that's some rep-worthy stuff

Yep, a great map! Good layout, nice symbols, good looking border, pleaseant colour scheme. The ocean blue might be a little to dark though.

I quite like it. I like the color scheme (and actually like the darkness of the ocean), and the hand drawn elements all look good. It's an attractive map. My only real cc would be that the border ends don't look nearly as crisp and clear as the other elements in your map (e.g. compare the top left-hand border with the title), making them appear fuzzy and out of focus. One way of correcting this might be to zoom in really close so that you can view the individual pixels, erase the pixels around the edges and then draw more clearly defined edge. Otherwise looks great so far.

    Cheers,
    -Arsheesh

@ghostman there will be more cities, as they will all be individualy drawn it takes me some ( more ) time.
@arsheesh you are right, I will look into this. THX.

I love it! Great icons and use of color.

My only critique (and it's a small one) is that the font you used makes the apostrophes in places like Lassei'n look odd.

Ok, here are some of the cities I´m working on. Hard to find the balance between the detail that should be detectable and the icon size...

Wow, what a great idea and what a great implementation.

In the first pic, the city in the mountain looks a little out of place though. I'm not sure if that is because of its isolated placement or the difference in style of the mountains though. Or is that just an optical illusion? It seems to be a different, lighter and more bluish kind of grey than the rest of the mountains.

Whatever... I can only repeat myself: a great map. I hope the "not to be reused" does not mean I cannot snatch that for my inspiration folder?

Inspiration will be no problem i think . The isolated look is because I did not have the time to connect it properly, I will even shift the placement. I´ll post again after I did more work.
