Wip July Challenge Entry: North Nimbus Sea

I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I make a mistake. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing with the tags yet. I feel like I am jumping in the deep end of the pool here...

I thought the challenge sounded like a lot of fun, so I wanted to try my hand at it.

Took the picture after a storm... still a lot of work to do on this piece, but I've got the outline done, anyway.

I haven't been able to work on this map as much as I wanted to this week because I've been busy designing my sister's "save the date" wedding postcards. I kind of stopped working on the map in a really bad spot, but I thought I'd share what I've done so far. I'm hoping this weekend I get a chance to finish.

Nice work! This is coming along great. The only thing that bugs me is the L shaped peninsula at the bottom of the map. I just doesn't look natural or match the rest of the land forms. I know it is in the cloud, so keep it if you want to, but I would be tempted to erase it and move on. ( keep in mind that I can't do this kind of mapping, so take my advice with a grain of salt )

Wow, that really pulled it together. =) I really like this. Beautiful. Saved in my favorites folder.

    =( But I like the L. =)

Haha, thanks... yeah, I thought the L-shaped peninsula was a little awkward looking when I first starting working on this map, but I just pretended it wasn't there. XD For the spirit of the competition, I think I'm going to keep it because I really tried to stay as close to the original cloud shapes as possible. If it were my own world project, I'd probably change or erase it.
