Looks great! I don't know if it helps your process any, but I usually try to have a story in mind to go with the pic. It keeps me motivated and can take the ol noggin in new directions. Perhaps the rad dragon is the storm dragon responsible for the hurricane that flooded the area. What are the survivors doing to appease or drive away the beast so the waters recede? Just a thought.

haha, well... as long as the dragon is good. Speaking of, I was admiring your avatar earlier today. Sort of Eragon-esk. Yours?

I wish I could do the style you have though, could you point me to some resources that you used to inspire you?

And cheat you out of some character-building research?! Image search: chinese brush painting. But as technique goes, use a bigger brush and make suggestions of detail instead of defining it. Then sketch. A lot. But really, I like your line-work... very clean and distinctive. The way you combine many types of strokes in your drawing makes things interesting and lively (and that's something I've been trying to consciously meld into my own style).

And I just lost all my brushes. Again. =|

Third time's the charm? Well, you probably won't see me posting anything on here in the near future, as I will, AGAIN, be re-creating all of my brushes and presets. Woohoo!
