So I made some transparencies that should look like hills. I think you guys might find these helpful for maptools or anything like that. There are 5 smooth ones, and 5 eroded ones. The download link is at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

It looks helpful, but it's hard to judge just based on the transparencies.

I have to make a fortress that's nested in mountainous foothills, so I might give it a go and get back to you with more detailed feedback.
