    Default Built on a Word

    Now this is an idea that I know would only really apply to the city builders of the Guild but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. The Challenge is to build a city/town/building that is based around a word supplied by the Moderators. You can make anything so long as it clearly reflects the supplied word, for example the word "eight" could be the City of Eight Towers, a city where everything is based of an octagon, or the word "high" could be a city in the clouds or a really tall tower.

    Just a thought

    It could apply to regional maps ("Eight Peaks County", "The Eight Islands") or building/dungeon maps ("The Eight Sided Temple", "The Eight Levels of Doom") as well.

    Code:
    #!/usr/bin/ruby

    words = []

    open "/usr/share/dict/words" do |file|
      file.each do |word|
        words<< word
      end
    end

    puts words[rand(words.size)]
    I ran it and got "thermostatics"

    I like the idea. But I ask that the word we build on NOT be "thermostatics".....

    What? It might make for some interesting thematic maps about climate or ocean currents.

    We woild have to restrict to some of the more basics words like numbers, colours or basic geological features. Also, I don't even know what Thermostatics mean, something about motionless heat?
