Default Greetings from an old school DM learning new tricks

    Hi all!

I've been lurking about the site for over a month and figured it was about time to say hello. First off, the tutorials are amazing and thank you to everyone who put them together. So much info, not enough hours in the day.

I've been DMing for awhile and just started a new campaign that involves lots of travel and exploration. I decided to give it a go and figure out how to do digital maps. Started on Gimp and so far it's great! I've done my first two maps (I might even post them, imagine that) and I'm currently working on my first city map so wish me luck!

Gimp is a great tool to start learning digital mapmaking - particularly as it's the one which I think most people at the guild use and there's loads of tutorials for it. Enjoy your time here and best of luck on your city map! IMO City maps are the most time consuming to draw and the hardest to get to look right, so you have your work cut out for you!
