Map of The Realm completed in Gimp 2.8 over many, many hours. Thanks to all the people here for their tutorials and suggestions.
The Realm is a republic of 12 clans who are occupying the lands of the ancient immortal illiri. This realm is the location for my fantasy series, "The Illiri Messiah."

Cool map! I like the style. The mountains are a bit dark.

Thanks for the comment. I'll look at lightening the mountains. I'd like to tone down the color just a bit of the whole map, but haven't figured out how to do it yet, and preserve the overall effect.
