    Agreed.

I tried making my on, which look ok if used with out any of the brush settings, but they get all screwed up when using the brush options for size and roundness jitter.

    Any suggestions?

If you are using Photoshop remember that the Brush Tip Shape line under Brush Presets in the brushes flyout has option in it as well. I was fooled the first few times I used it as all the other lines had check boxes and that one doesn't.

Thanks, I've seen that and used to to adjust the spacing.

THe thing is as soon as I try to adjust the size Jitter my image goes bad.

I have attached some Jpgs with examples.

The normal brush is my brush and clicking once.

The Adjusted settings is the same brush after adjusting the Spacing, Size Jitter & Roundness Jitter. The biggest issue seems to come from the size jitter.

    Thanks

    JD

EDIT - It appears that my problem is because I was using the pencil with the brush and not a brush. For some reason the pencil makes the lines thicker.

Now I just need to make some brushed I like and practice with them.

I am glad you got to an answer. I have to admit I played with brushes but in the end I just ended up drawing most things on my last map. I struggle with timing my brush strokes properly so that things are not place on top of one another or overlapping. For the moment it is easier for me to just draw.
