    Default Hello !!

    Hello !

I have always been a fan of maps old ones, new ones, as soon as they are very precise and I have to say that all the maps you have done are wonderful. This website is just great.

I contribute to the French, Spanish and Dutch wikipedia project and I am among the one who make the maps ... I decided to create my own maps with the same software, inkscape.

Currently, I create a map of a huge planet (I think the size of the planet will be 2 or 3 times earth perimeter). I try to make it really precisely however. This map will show, by the end, the topography of the continent, of the oceans, the cities, roads, volcanoes, glaciers, etc. I hope I will be able to show it to you soon.

And sorry, my English is not that good !

Welcome, Torahn -- I look forward to seeing your maps. And your English is plenty understandable :-).

Will your era and style be modern or antique?

Thanks for your warm welcome ! [Sorry, I am a bit busy with the Uni so I have just seen your post ]

JTougas : yes it is a bit ambitious, so maybe the final map will be less developed than that, but I try to keep this goal in mind .

Jbgibson : Thanks ! for the map ? as I use inkscape, the result will be something like the .svg maps we can find on wikipedia ... If I find a cheap software, maybe I will try to do something in accordance with the era I want to depict in the map (the style I would like to do is the one of the "Dutch Golden Age"). However, I has also draw, so maybe, when my map on inkscape will be over, I will try to draw it like that ...
