Tutorial Schwarzkreuz Compass-Rose Tutorial for the Vector-Invalid Pixelslaves

Ok, here it comes, my next sloppy tutorial for the Vector-Invalids like me.
It is realy easy if you experiment a lot with this, and new forms keep poping up as you go along.
Its best to create Brushes, while working on them, so you get plenty of variations on te brushes like me.

    Have Fun!!!

And I appreciate all Feedback or Coments on this.

Wow. I seriously don't think I've ever known about the style > stroke thing. Huh. That makes everything so much simpler. haha

    Thanks for sharing your technique!

you have to set the outline on the inside of the object, so it doesnt mess up with the measurments.
Also be aware of the select, alter selection, contract/expand- funktion. Its great to make the inside areas of the forms. (I normaly paint them on a 2500 x 2500 canvas, thats the maximum for a brush) I use Stroke 18/15/8/5 for most forms, had the feeling they work fine together. The normal expand/contract I use is 10/20/40 Px

That was not written with mouse, but with my GT. I guess my writing is realy horrible. Does anybody else have problems with reading it?

For handling Part 1 to Part 2, you have to fill in the Form with a color first than align it in the middle of the Canvas, than double click on the layer in the layer window to aply the layerstyle "Stroke"

Useful. Very useful. Thanks, dude! Now I can (hopefully, if I don't run out of time), make some decorations for my Oct. Challenge map.

I'll have to play around with this on GIMP when I get a chance and see if I can duplicate the method. Thanks for sharing Schwarzkreuz.

Thanks for sharing this technique! I will hopefully get a chance to use it someday when I get back to mapping, eh... The things you've made with it look amazing.
