With the 92nd Map of the Week we continue in the Slovanian Border March with a look at the mess hall of the Black Fortress settlement.

Key to the floor plan of the mess hall

There are neither inns nor taverns in the Black Fortress settlement, but travelers passing through can eat for a fee in the military mess hall, and simple beds are available in a sleeping bay on the mess hall's 2nd story. The sleeping bay was designed to for soldiers from other outposts who are visiting the Black Fortress, but the beds are available to travelers when they aren't occupied by visiting soldiers.

    Cellar (not mapped)

The cellar is used solely as a storage area for the kitchen.

    Ground floor:

    1. Main Entrance.

    2. Beer tap.

    3. Food selection. Diners take a tin plate from the stack on the table near the door and then serve themselves cafeteria style.

    4. Dining area.

    5. Stairs to 2nd story.

    6. Kitchen.

    7. Cellar Door.

    8. Back Door.

    2nd story:

    9. Stairs to ground floor.

    10. Wood-burning stoves.

    11. Sleeping bay.

You can get the floor plans in two versions:

    1. The Fractal Mapper (TM) 8 version in FMP format, fully editable, from our Jörðgarð web page (9 MB).

    2. As two JPG flat maps of 3000 Pixels x 1600 Pixels each (total 3.4 MB), available with the above.

Both versions are released for personal and commercial use under the Open Game License Version 1.0a, which you can read on the Jörðgarð website at:
