    Post New Member Info

I stumbled here from another gaming site. I've been gaming for over 20 years, and hand-drawing my maps for that whole time. I took a cartography class at college a few years ago, and had a summer job at a local map company. Recently a friend of mine asked me to map the town she's using for some of her stories and I came looking for ways to make it better. I'm looking forward to poking around here and gleaning tips.

Welcome to the guild fionn320. We look forward to you posting your sample maps, so get to postin! Also, if your interested in doing any computer generated mapping (or even ways to touch up a scanned in map), GIMP is a free open source software similar to Photoshop. Additionally, there are a few tutorials on the site what can provide several techniques and several GIMP masters in residence in case you need some help.
