Good day!
My problem is the following:
I have a geologic map of a non-existing place (idealised): http://i50.tinypic.com/34evk2p.jpg
It is meant to be 1:100 000 scale, so the first question would be: "how to correctly georeference a non-existing area (so that I could later make a digital cross-section AC). The map is meant to be Soviet, 1985. Can I somehow manage The elevation from this map. I repeat, topography and cross-section in a digital way.
The product should look like USGS OFR 2005-1428: Creating and Managing Digital Geologic Cross Sections within ArcGIS
and would be awesome, if it could be done the same way
The USGS OFR 2005-1428: Creating and Managing Digital Geologic Cross Sections within ArcGIS
I need to make a lot of cross-sections to visually show what exactly lies under the surface, in a digital way.
I DO NOT need the work done for me, I will vectorize the map myself, I just need the links to do it manually. I have some knowledge, but I seem to fail compiling it into one.
Thank you for your time,
warm greetings to you and your family.
Leon.
