Help Highlight the Active Tool Preset in Photoshop?

Is there a Photoshop (cs4) setting or extension that will highlight or otherwise allow me to see which tool preset is currently active or which one was last selected? Maybe a selected-preset history panel? I've been searching the net but I'm not coming up with anything.

Not specifically map related I know, but my short term memory will be extremely appreciative of any help you guys can give. I hate cluttering up my presets with duplicates because I can't remember the name of the preset I clicked on, and I'd prefer not to write it down each time I swap to a different one.

EDIT: Maybe this should be in Software Discussion. Feel free to move it if you deem it so.
