Default Greetings from North Carolina USA!

Greetings from North Carolina USA, I am hoping to learn and admire the art of cartography from European to American work. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

Can anyone tell my anything about this wind rose? I found it while perusing the denver library website.

I was wondering from what era it was drawn, and what part of the world.

Not to be rude, but posting something like this, without some background info (like the map it can be found on) is a bit like showing 1 piece of a jigsaw puzzle and asking which puzzle it belongs to. If you have the source, you should be able to find out more about the image, and THAT might lead you to what you want.

BTW, Welcome to the Guild, The Mappiest Place on the Web, and with a bit more info, we MIGHT be able to help a bit more. No gaurantees though...

I would begin by browsing the thumbnails of the map collection. Look for something with similar lighting and colors to start. You might get lucky... Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Digital Collections
