    Help How do I hand draw deserts maps

    I have been following one of the tutorials on creating a artistic map and wanted to added a desert to the map I created. I couldn't find a hand drawn map tutorial for this.

    Nice map, and welcome to the Guild!

    The most common way to spice up deserts would be sand dunes, though it depends on the kind of desert of course. But it looks like you have sand deserts there, and dunes are really easy to paint by hand. Here's a small practice piece I made recently, it's got a little desert along the right edge:

    These dunes I made by just painting some wavy strokes of brown watercolor (burnt umber, if I recall correctly), and blending one side into the lighter brown.
