Default I need your vote for Spaceflight Training

No, this is not a joke.

I mapped telescopes in space, and now If you send a tweet, I could be going to the Nastar Center for spaceflight training and going to see a space launch in November.

To vote - here's the super quick twitter link! https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?tex...Choice%20Award!

Two weeks ago I went to the NYC NASA space apps hackathon. My team created an application that allows you to explore what telescopes are looking at and when. The site collates a ton of telescope data in one place, unifies it, and makes it pretty - as well as being accessible for astrophysicists. And yes - it includes a map of space.

We won the NYC hackathon, and we're in the running for the global challenge, along with 133 other teams. There are 4 'best in class' awards and a public choice. The public voting started yesterday and runs to the 17th of May. To vote, you need to send a tweet to @spaceapps and include the hashtag for the project. For ours it's #spacecalnyc . As far as I can tell, you can only vote for one project.

Check out our project page, with a video showing how the app works: Space Cal NYC | International Space Apps Challenge

    And here's the video:

For Github fans, the code is all here: https://github.com/rosscooperman/betterspacecal

Of course, we think ours is the best, but you should definitely check out the other entries. There were some very cool things to come out of that weekend. Here's the full list from around the world: Awards | International Space Apps Challenge
