    Post Introduction and past stuff

Hi, I'm a 22-year old sensitive man, looking for 19-24^W^W^W^W^W^W^W^W^W

Hi, I'm a 22-year old man who makes computer-jokes that were old before he was born. On the Internet, I hang around conworlding and conlanging circles, and in real-life I'm majoring in linguistics.

Here are some maps I've made. Most of these are not wholly original work, and I'm not claiming they are, which is why I'm putting them in this thread.

Steampunk/Alternative history maps based on Earth:

Planets from the same setting, based roughly on real-life topography:

Fan art maps, originally traced from a manga I follow closely (Mahou Sensei Negima!).

Welcome to the Guild Naeddyr! What software do you use? Feel free to post up more work as soon as you can, and don't be shy about posting your works in progress either. Also, if you want any tips, make sure to check out the tutorial section, and try some of the tutorials out. And if you have any tips you have found, be sure to pass them along.

Thanks! I already have a WIP thread up in Regional, though.

I mostly use Inkscape, GIMP and projection-software, like G.Projector or Flex-projector, and sometimes I wander around in the dark underworld of GIS software... *looks around nervously*

I've actually made, in the past, a tutorial for the style of maps I make, but that one's obsolete and I'll have to redo it with the Clip-Outline method instead of the inelegant Inset-Outline method.

Wow, those are beautiful antique-style maps. I'd love to see the tutorial as I've never even heard of Inkscape or G-projector...

Thanks for the welcome. After I finish with my current map, I'll make a tutorial, or two, like how to do a rotating globe

    or just general map

    With G-projector or Flex-projector.

ravells, I am very happy to hear that you like my style. It's the only one I have. :]

It's just travelling backwards in time.

Gotta spin it backwards so that Superman can resurrect Lois Lane. Love the antique style but maybe fade out the color borders a bit. Like it all in all though and want to look at those tuts.

I love the Cyberpunk Maps. Very evocative. It Warms this Canadian's heart to see how large Canada is, but saddens me to see how Large Alaska is
