Post May 2013 Entry: The Island of Tenandel

After seeing the other entries, I kinda don't want to try and compete, but here goes

I went a little overboard with my hex tiles and made too many, but it's been raining all day and I was having fun so I'm going to post them all here anyway

I was going with a parchmenty feel originally, but decided to add a little colour so it's not quite as boring...

Its a good and clear design and fits the Hexcrawl theme well.

Beautiful icons! This island must be huge, so many types of terrain Only the temple, I feel it´s kinda of big, the rest is great!

Hehe, I don't think I'll be using all the tiles, and yeah I got a little carried away with the temple

Not sure if I quite like the way it's progressing. I may end up starting again with a new set of tiles

I like the style of your hex icons, but in my opinion your ocean hexes look too much like land, especially in smaller pics (like the thumbnail). Maybe you culd just make borders between land and sea a bit wider?

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I'm going to make the ocean hexes a little less cluttered too, there are too many waves on them I think

Why not just Making them Blue?

yeah, i feel the ocean tiles should be blue. as they are now, they look like sand dune from a distance, despite the blue splash (pun intended) they have on them. other than that, this is a nice simple tile-set

Over all I dig your hex icons Vyxxen, but I must agree with Niall, Schwarzkreuz and Vorropohaiah that your sea icons are not very clear, and would serve you map better were they blue. But overall I like where this is heading.

    Cheers,
