    Default Unnamed War Map

Hey there guys, so starting a new style of map, moments of the War between 2 kingdoms. They are still unnamed, but my mission here is to develop a strong background for the conflict, heralds, historic figures and the army composition. Much thing can still change, but Im already liking this new style for me!
Any feedbacks are more than welcome!

Looks interesting, looking forward to see how it progress Though I'm not keen of the realistic photo border.

Looks pretty great so far! Got to agree with Max r.e. the border though. What about running it through a posterize filter or something to take away the photo-look?

Did you look for a specific style of border for this map?

I agree with Max and Diamond, and would also point out that the neat-line borders don't quite fit either. Perhaps you could play around with the layer modes so that the white and black areas blend in a bit better. Otherwise this looks very nice.

    Cheers,

To tell the truth I was trying what you and SK do with your maps. Your borders are fantastic xD

@arsheesh, the neat-line borders are more to give me a sense of style, Ill work with them later! But thank you for the tips too

Just get rid of this one and let it rest until you find the proper idea/ressource/drawing inspiration to make the right one

I like the look of this map! I concur with the border thing as well although, the design itself is pretty nice. The dirt on the map is a nice touch. It will definitely makes it feel more like a real map!

Indeed, the Borders looking crap on your map. You should try to paint your own pattern and create a Border from it.
