Last November I posted a scan of an old pen & ink map that I did in the 80s. At the time I wasn't planning on finishing it. When I recently got an iPad 2018 for work (yeah, work), along with a Pencil, I knew what I needed to do.

I started reworking the map and adding to it but as I went along I realized that I wanted to do something different. Taking my original mountains and tree style I reworked them into something with more depth. This is the result. The original work was done in Procreate and then exported as PNG so I could add text and straight lines in PaintShop Pro.

That's a lovely map! If I understand correctly, this was your first attempt with digital painting? Really impressive! I'm very looking forward to your next maps.

Just my first digital map with Procreate. I've used PaintShop Pro in the past but most of my work is at the city/village level. This is my first large scale overland map in years.

It looks great. I love the way you did the forests. It's very detailed but not too busy on the eye
