Map Oraven - The savage lands - fantasy map

    Hi everyone,

Here's my latest map, which is a first experiment with a new style, with some light painting touch. Though I'm thinking about expanding the map to make a larger one or mapping some surroundings area of the actual one, I've decided to post the current savage lands of oraven in a finished thread.
It was done in Photoshop and the full size map is 14"x19". WIP thread is here. Thanks to everyone for the support, comments are always keeping the motivation up

Comments are still welcome, I hope you'll like it.

Beautiful work Max! I especially love the design around the title and the forest of course is great!

Max you realize don't you that you are beginning to bloat my inspiration folder . The map itself is very impressive but the way that you have chosen to frame it really ties it altogether very nicely. Repped, liked, rated and all that jazz.

    Cheers,

I don't think that i can rep you again (at least not yet), but have a "like". This is an awesome new style. I really really dig it. This map really invites me to set a game of DnD* in it.
Well done! Oh and as an aside...i really hope you'll do the Oraven worldmap someday (surprise, surprise ).
Looking forward to your next map, Max!

Amazing map Max! I know nothing about the world of Oraven, but with this map I want to play there!

Excellent work! I have to agree with Arsheesh about the framing choice also. Your color choices really help set the theme of "Savage", beautiful map Max!

The color used is amazing. This style really summons the 'savage' feeling.
    Wonderful!

@Arsheesh : Don't you know I'm just doing maps to fill your inspiration folder?
@Eilathen and Hobbehobbe : If you already want to play in the savage of lands, I'm already fully satisfied about my job on the map
@WEP and Bane : I'm glad to have achieved the"savage" render with the coloring job

I run out of stars to rep you, again. The only thing bugging me are the many pixel errors on the outer papertextures, they look a bit like and unclean selection/cut. Beside that all of the map is well crafted and amazed me. I even like the forest now, with the new colors, they start to be realy vivid, especially the southern one.

Those forests ... hell, they are cool!
    And the coastlines. Nice!
Again, it's a great piece of work.

I haven't seen a map in english language of yours, yet.
