    Wip The Province of Urne

So I am wrapping up my Ashen map, and because my mind works like a web browser with a million tabs open. I had to start another project, which i got carried away with and now am posting!

I love what i have done and i can't take the credit really, its all the amazing tutorials out there on this site. Each one is like gold!

I'm always hoping for feedback, or comments. Mostly about my texture usage?

Sorry I'm posting this with so much done.. yet so little if you think about it really.

Looks interesting though the border color looks a bit odd.

I sort of had the same initial reaction as Max, the order color does seem an odd choice. Otherwise looking great so far.

The map itself looks great so far; nice textures and colors. Have some rep!

But yeah, got to agree with the fellas - what about using a rich gold color instead of that pinkish color in the border?

Got to agree with the others about the border, otherwise it looks like a great start and the use of textures is excellent.

I concur. And I am so happy that I'm not the only person who thinks like that.

Well i love color, and the color pallet i have for this map includes the border color which is also the color of the 'logo' around the name of the map. HOWEVER, for now - due to popular demand - i have changed the color of the border as well as added rivers and a few lakes.

I'm experimenting with mountains next, i have never drawn my own mountains and i think that for now i'll use brushes i find. But i am testing out the clone tool in photoshop for the first time. My first attempt was irritating - but i'll keep trying and practicing!

EDIT: Here is another image just to show where the mountain ranges are going to be so that way the river flow makes a little more sense to everyone.

EDIT AGAIN: Here is a test of the brushes and a small mountain range on my map. Note that I'm not testing colors yet just my ability to clone mountains on my map. Opinions help

I think ultimately you have to follow your own bliss when you're making a map (like much else in life ). If YOU like the way your map is turning out, that is what's most important.

Indeed. Bring back the pink I think it fits the orange/turquoise color scheme perfectly.
